In January 2025, the Southeastern Diocese embarked on a transformative mission trip to Honduras, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. This journey was a testament to the power of faith, community, and service, as our brothers and sisters became instruments of God’s love and grace.
During this mission, our team participated in a variety of impactful activities, including the launching of a Women’s Ministry, hosting both a Pastoral Marriage Conference and a Ministry Marriage Conference, visiting a nursing home and Catarino Rivas Hospital, and organizing a Leaders and Ministry Conference. Worship Ministry played a central role throughout the trip, bringing people together in praise and reflection.
The collective impact of these efforts was profound. We witnessed hearts being touched, lives being transformed, souls saved, and communities being strengthened. The joy, unity, and spiritual renewal that emerged from this mission trip were truly inspiring.
The team sung “There’s a Happy Day at Hand” by C.P. Jones as they traveled. The chorus, “Tho’ the conquest lies ahead, We shall conquer never dread, All the land our feet shall tread, Praise the Lord! ” resonates deeply with our mission. It encapsulates the spirit of perseverance and faith that guided our team and a message of hope to those we encounter. This chorus is a reminder to us all that despite the challenges ahead, we moved forward with unwavering trust in God’s plan, knowing that every step we take God has already won the victory!
We thank God for the opportunity to serve and for the incredible impact made possible by the dedication and compassion of our mission team led by Missionary Lillian Brown. Together, we have sown seeds of hope and change that will continue to grow and flourish in the hearts of the people we touched.
