In January, we celebrated the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., whose courage and determination would lead the fight to secure civil rights for African-Americans in this nation.

We have also been blessed to witness one of the many fruits of King’s legacy— as President Joe R. Biden was sworn-in as 46th President of the United States alongside Kamala Harris.

A woman of African and Indian decent, Harris will serve this nation as the 49th Vice President. We remember that only 100 years ago, women, considered second-class citizens, were allowed the right to vote.

We thank God we are alive to witness such an historic occasion.

On behalf of our Senior Bishop, the Board of Bishops, Boards, Auxiliaries and Ministries of the Church of Christ (Holiness) USA, we acknowledge and pray for our new President, Joe Biden, and his entire administration.

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” (1 Tim. 2:1-2, NKJV)
