“He is not here; for he is risen, as he said, Come, see the place where the Lord lay.     Matthew 28:6

Praise God for his goodness and his wonderful works to the children of man!  We are currently halfway through our annual season of Lent with approximately four  weeks before Resurrection Sunday or Easter. This time of preparation has truly been a  blessing to our local, District, Diocese and National Church.  I am extremely grateful for our members who have faithfully participated in our weekly National Prayer, as well as  the daily Prayer and devotionals lead by our National UCWM.

As we commemorate our 125th year as a National Body, COCHUSA is proud to say that “…he is risen, as he said..”. Despite the ongoing challenges of economic uncertainties,  increasing street violence, foreign wars, and a decreasing pandemic, our church celebrates a risen LORD! Let us ignite the power of Christ in us to ‘Live Out Loud’ a life that demonstrates the present of our resurrected LORD, living in and through our lives.

In His Service,

Bishop Vernon E. Kennebrew

Senior Bishop of the Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A.

As we celebrate the Lenten season and prepare for Passion Week, Good Friday, and Easter, I’d like to encourage each of you to enjoy this special time in Christendom. Many of you are fasting, participating in corporate times of prayer, and dedicating more of your time to reading the Word of God. You are doing well on your Journey to Easter.

This year’s national theme for the Church of Christ (Holiness) USA General Body is “Living Out Loud.”

When we think of individuals whom we personally know that “live out loud”, we understand or appreciate how they unapologetically go about their lives. This year, while on your Journey to Easter, I encourage you to remain unapologetic about the cross, the Savior on the cross, and the Resurrection of the Savior from the cross.

Share this story and good news with your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors.

Bishop Lindsay E. Jones

National President

I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I thank God for His mercy over us thus for this year. I am humbled to serve as your National President for years of 2021 thru 2024. As we celebrate this Lent season, let us not forget the agony and pain, as well as the love Christ share for us when He died on the cross for you and I. (John 3:16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Since God loved us so, we ought to love one another as well. Let us not forget why we celebrate Easter and let us not forget to share with others what Christ has done in our lives, that they may be a partaker of God’s love and saving grace. Finally let us continue to pray that God will grow our Men’s Ministry into what He would have it to be, that we may take back our Cities, States and Country. I love you all and may God bless you.

Eric B. Tanner, Sr, NBM President.

Greetings COCHUSA Family,

This time of the year is such a special time. I like to think of it as, Good News from the cemetery.  During this time of the year, we reflect on the miracle that took place at cross and finally at cemetery. It was there that our Lord gave Himself as a ransom for mankind. It was there that our Lord made it possible that all who would, may freely come. For that, we shout GOOD NEWS.  While many may search for an egg, we rejoice, the Savior found us. GOOD NEWS!! Today I encourage you to recount, reflect, and rejoice about that GOOD NEWS.

Happy Resurrection,

Elder Fred Taylor,

National SS & HYM Congress President

Impactful Easter tips from National Missionaries

On behalf of COCHUSA’s National Missionaries, Missionary Kennedy shared seven tips for a more “relevant” Easter.

1) Share the Crucifixion, Death and Resurrection story with an unsaved friend or loved one.

2)Encourage one another with Easter/Resurrection Greeting Cards (follow-up with phone calls or visits).

3)Volunteer respite care (offer to relieve the regular caregiver) and wash their feet!

4) Post the following statement on your Facebook page:

Because of the Resurrection, death lost its power and its sting and Jesus lives to bring the glory of God to all who believe. He gives you hope and a future after death. This earthly life that we hold so dear is woefully short. Even 100 years is nothing in the scheme of all history. But now we can look forward to life without end!

5) Cook a dish, donate money, food, or gift cards to an ill or elderly person. This is the compassion Jesus preached.

6) Invite guests to your home on Resurrection Sunday and share with them your testimony of why you believe in Jesus Christ.

7) Let people know you are praying for them and their concerns.
