It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Kathy Bell Castilla on January 7, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Elder Willenham Cortez Castilla and mother of Cueshaun, Isaiah, Kathlyn and Matthew (Tahari). Sister Castilla was a gifted pianist and soloist, teacher and professor of music. She selflessly used her gifts and talents to inspire and uplift everyone while praising God. Her renditions of “Jesus Only”, “God Forbid that I Should Glory”, “God Leads Us Along” and “There’s a Fountain” will forever be remembered. Sister Castilla will be sadly missed by all of those who called her mom, aunt, sister, cousin, professor, colleague, First Lady and friend.
