HELLO COCHUSA Family,
I pray all is well with each of you. On Saturday, April 27, 2019, I attended and participated in a KJA Scholarship Concert Fundraiser sponsored by the Southern District of the Western Diocese. The concert was held at Christ Temple Cathedral in Los Angeles, CA where Bishop Emery Lindsay is pastor. Brother Donnavon Jenkins is the District SS & HYM President and he worked very hard in pulling this fundraiser together. Choirs, groups and churches from across the district participated and all helped to make the evening a huge success. Diocese SS & HYM President, Sister Jill Gilbert was present and was very supportive in pulling everything together. The Southern and the Northern Districts of the Western Diocese will combine their scholarship fundraising efforts together and make a special presentation during the announcement of scholarships on Friday of the Nat’l Convention. Brother Donnavon Jenkins and Vice President Sister Joyce Bingham are to be commended for a job well done! (<:
On Sunday, April 28, 2019, I visited with Pilgrim COCHUSA in Los Angeles where District Chairman James Harper is pastor. Elder Harper was out of town but all went very well with the young people playing a big part of the service. We had a wonderful visit together and I look forward to visiting with them again soon.
