Hello COCHUSA Family,
We had another great time in presenting the COCHUSA Scholarship Golf Classic on last Saturday, 9-May-2015. Many golfers, cooks and workers came together at the Country Club of Arkansas in Maumelle, AR to take part in our 16th annual Tournament. All weather predictions from three days prior called for thunder storms and tornado watches the entire weekend. But as people would call and ask if we would postpone the event, all I could say was, “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” The rains and storms held-off until right after the event!!!! (GOD IS GOOOD!) This Golf Classic is very important in helping the KJA Scholarship Board to raise funds for scholarship presentations at our national convention each year. We really Appreciate those of you who sponsored golf-holes this year and we ask that more of you would consider being a $100.00 hole-sponsor next year. We will probably present between $12,000 to $17,000 in scholarships this year to OUR young people!! Special thanks and commendations to Bro. Bernard Coleman, Sis Marva Davis and Sis Dianne Allen and cooking staff for putting on another wonderful tournament that’s second to none. Also thanks to Deacon Eddie King and son’s Reggie and Eddie Jr for driving from Houston, TX, Baton Rouge, LA and Franklinton, LA to participate with us this year. Special thanks also to Bishop and Sis Kennebrew for coming out and showing their support.
