Hello COCHUSA Family,
I pray all is well with each of you.
Here are a few pictures from some of the services I was involved in last Friday through Sunday (19-21-May-2017). You’ll see a program front cover of the Friday funeral services of our oldest member, Deacon Thomas Brown. Deacon Brown was 104 years old and was ordained a deacon by our founder, Bishop Charles P. Jones. He was a joy to be around and loved to talk and was the sharpest-dressed man in the St Matthew COCHUSA in Monroe, LA. Let’s all remember his family in our prayers. Eld Jimmie Ervin, Jr is the pastor at St Matthew.
The COCHUSA National Executive Board met on Friday evening and Saturday. So much to do and discuss and as always, time was a premium but the Lord and Nat’l President Bishop Jones, got us through. Please pray for our Board of Bishop’s, elected officers, auxiliary and board leaders that God would guide our every step.
I attended Sunday morning services with Spring Beulah COCHUSA in Ruth, MS where the pastor is Eld Eulis Brown, Jr. WOW!! What a dream church to wake-up and see that Sunday. The edifice and campus is exceptionally beautiful with all the trimmings. The pastor and members were all a loving group and we all praised our Lord together and had a wonderful time. If you ever get a chance, please stop by and worship the Lord with them in the beauty of holiness. You’ll be glad you did!
On Sunday afternoon, I was invited to a feast at the home of Bro Richard and Sis Lillian Brown. All I can say is, you should have been there! At least 30 were present that I saw and a Good Time was had by All!
On Sunday evening, the National Music Workshop concert under the direction of Bro Richard Lee was enjoyed by all. Lifting our praises in song was just the perfect way to end the weekend. The Children’s Choir, the Praise Dancers and Combined Choirs were all in top form.
I thank God for His traveling mercies and I look forward to seeing many of you in the near future. If you haven’t made your reservations for the 2017 Nat’l Convention, please do it now because time is winding up!
God Bless and love always,
Bro. Allen
